Please note- Salt lamps and candle holders in general do not like damp environments. Salt products are hygroscopic, meaning they draw moisture from the environment. This can lead to your salt product ‘sweating’ in some environments. Sometimes, a salt lamp will highlight areas of damp in your home by sweating. Sometimes salt lamps sweat excessively if they are placed in areas of extreme moisture. Keep salt lamps regularly lit to avoid this, and if excess sweating becomes an issue, we recommend unplugging and placing your lamp in direct sunlight to help absorb any excess moisture, gentle brush off any salt residue and then place in an alternative, drier, area. We recommend placing your salt product on top of a protective base if placing on furniture or decorative piece.
